CHATSWORTH 10k FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How much is it to enter the 10k?

If you are affiliated to a running club and have a UKA number the cost is £18. Unaffiliated entries are £20. This year we are repeating our Earlybird Special Offer, which was so popular last year. If you enter before 31st January 2017 you will receive £2 off these prices.

Why do I pay an extra £2 if I am not affiliated to the UKA?

There is a £2 reduction in entry fee for runners who are members of UKA affiliated clubs. This standard is set by the national governing body.

Can I withdraw/swap/give away/defer my entry?

Unfortunately, all entries are non transferable and non refundable. Once your entry is complete we incur administration costs and banking charges.

When will I receive race information?

All race information will be emailed to every entrant at least two weeks prior to the race day. This will inform you of when and how to collect your race pack.

When can I collect my race pack?

Race packs will be available for collection from Monday 23rd - 26th April 2017 from Helen’s Trust in Bakewell (Unit 2, Granby Road, Bakewell DE45 1ES – above Boots). Packs can also be collected on the day from 8.30am. If you are planning to collect your pack on the day, please allow plenty of time as the registration tent may be busy.

What will be in my race pack?

Your race pack will consist of a running number, with safety pins, and a timing chip which should be worn around the ankle. Please ensure your timing chip is attached securely as no timing chip means no race time.

Why are there different timing zones?

Starting pens are organised in order of predicted race time, to ensure you get off to the best start and are not held up or over taken unsafely by other runners.

Is there a cut off time?

Although we don’t officially have a cut off time, we expect all 10k runners to have completed the race within 2 hours. If you are planning on walking the route you must be confident that you will complete the route in under 1hr 50mins, as the 3k race commences along the same route at 11.30am.

What happens if I can’t finish the race?

Please move to the side of the path to ensure other runners can pass safely and inform a race marshal that you wish to stop. It is advised that you make your way back to the race arena in your own time.
