What we do
Helen's Trust provides support to terminally ill people who wish to be cared for and to die at home in North Derbyshire and the High Peak.
Helen's Trust provides support and care to people with life-limiting illnesses who wish to be cared for and to die at home in North Derbyshire, Sheffield and surrounding areas.
Our mission is to provide personalised, skilled and supportive care to people with a limited life expectancy and enable them to stay at home if that is their wish, and to respond rapidly to patients’ needs.
We fund and coordinate high quality, end of life care which meets the varying needs of people and their families and is available every day- this may include overnight care or regular respite .
Our team of experienced health care assistants provide day-time and overnight (10pm to 7am) sits to offer the chance for carers to have a night’s sleep or to shop, undertake essential tasks, or just to relax.
We work closely with your primary care team e.g. your District Nurse and General Practitioner and others involved in your care. Helen’s Trust staff will follow the District Nurse’s care plans to ensure both safety and continuity of care
