Hopefully Helen's Trust will be recommended to you by a health professional.
If, however, you feel you might benefit from Helen's Trust you will need to speak to either your GP, community matron or your district nurse at the surgery you are registered with. They will then assess your needs and look for funding from statutory bodies (such as social services, Macmillan funds etc.). If these are not available or not available quickly enough, they will then apply for aid from the Trust on your behalf.
You may also be referred to Helen's Trust by any health care professional who you are involved with such as a Macmillan nurse, physiotherapist, occupational therapist, health visitor, social worker or your hospital or hospice consultant or nurse.
