Michael Palin Curates an Evening

This was an amazing fundraising event held at Sheffield City Hall on 30th October 2008 to launch the work of the Charity in the North East of Sheffield.
The star of the evening was world traveller and comic genius Michael Palin who was both charming and entertaining for the 1,800 people who attended and enjoyed the show.
The event was introduced and co-hosted by David Blunkett MP and Dr Louise Jordan. A number of corporate organisations entertained guests and Helen's Trust benefited considerably through the very generous sponsorship provided by Helen Gregory, of Derbyshire Cottages.com.

Helen was presented with a personally signed copy of Michael's new book, "New Europe"
At the end of the evening, the Duchess of Devonshire presented Michael with a small memento of a fantastic occasion which raised over £40,000 and spread the word about the Charity to a number of new and influential contacts in the City.
