Golden Gate and Fun Run 2008

We had a great day and raised over £14,000 for Helen’s Trust. Don’t take our word for it, this is what some of the runners said:-
‘This race has to be on your calendar next year as it is not like any other 10k you will do. Thank you to the organisers - 1st class race’.‘Excellent race friendly atmosphere well organised and what a location glorious be warned the first 2 /3k up hill is a challenge’
‘The marshals were fantastically encouraging and the scenery was delightful. Careering down the long grassy slopes in the last half was truly a memorable experience and there was plenty of encouragement from spectators on the last kilometre. I will definitely return to tackle the hill. ‘‘Only my second race so not able to compare with many others but, having said that, I found it a tough race with a killer ascent in the first couple of miles a flattish couple of miles in the middle and then a mad downhill scramble towards the end. I managed to knock a minute off my PB but I will be back next year to get my revenge on that bl**dy hill! (I will also be a bit lighter)’
‘The organisation was fantastic. The Scenery was awesome. I loved it and had a fantastic day. Hope it's on again next year.’‘What a fantastic event. The organisation was superb and the event went like clockwork - loads of parking right on the start line, lots of friendly marshals, a well marked course and plenty of water stations. Make it up the steep hill at the 2nd Km and you're basically down hill almost all the way home! The long section through the bluebell woods (in bloom) accompanied by Bach's cello concerto suite 6 on the ipod was truly spiritual. I LOVED this event. WELL DONE GUYS!!’
